Outline Description of Module
Studying, working or volunteering elsewhere in the world will position UK students more advantageously in the international labour market. The International Experience module provides students with the opportunity to study abroad at a partner institution for the Autumn Semester.
On completion of the module a student should be able to
- Evidence international mobility
- Have improved international and cross-cultural communication skills
- Have improved international cultural awareness
How the module will be delivered
The module will be delivered through the medium of English, utilizing the delivery methods of the overseas institutions, including lectures, seminars, workshops, group work, laboratories etc.
Skills that will be practised and developed
- These will be referenced in the module descriptions provided by the overseas partner institutions.
How the module will be assessed
The School of Engineering will receive a transcript from partner institutions which they should retain as evidence of the actual subjects and grades achieved.
The grades and credits listed on the transcript will be converted to a mark for 50 credits against which the minimum pass mark of 40% must be achieved.

Syllabus content
Students should select modules that are:-
- Taught through the medium of English
- Equivalent in academic standard to the comparative Year 3 Cardiff University Modules for their degree programme
All modules will be agreed by the overseas partner institutions and Cardiff University School of Engineering.
